To prevent tampering, we’ve engineered our automatic step feeder style screw presenter systems so that there are no mechanical adjustments. All parts of our screw presenter mechanism are machined to the specifications of your particular fastener, and dowel pinned in place. This makes maintenance of our step feeder style screw presenters systems easy: the escapement can be taken apart for cleaning, and it will go back together precisely as originally manufactured.
Our track level sensor is custom made for the Carlson escapement, ensuring superior accuracy & fastener compatibility. This sensor mounts to the escapement track and requires no positional adjustment, like the rest of our tooling. The sensor’s sensitivity is preset from the factory, and in most cases does not require adjustment.

One of the most frustrating challenges caused by modern screw presenter systems is the frequency of fastener jams. To solve this, we have engineered a unique 3-step fastener alignment verification process into our automatic screw presenters.
Non-Adjustable Sorting Air Jet
The first step in our 3-step fastener verification is our Non-Adjustable Sorting Air jet – a highly pressurized stream of air that ejects misaligned fasteners from the track.
This is our first line of defense in the prevention of misaligned screws from reaching the screw presenter pickup area.
Non-Adjustable Qualifying Track Cover:
The second step is a Non-Adjustable Bowl Track Qualifying Cover, which prevents misaligned fasteners from entering the escapement.
The simple construction of this feature, coupled with there being no need for adjustment, makes it a powerful addition.
Escapement-Level U-Bracket Optic Sensor
The third step is our U-Bracket Optic Sensor – a laser-accurate sensor which controls the escapement track level, effectively preventing fasteners from being vibrated towards an already-fully-loaded track. When the escapement is full, step feeder mechanism’s elevator will stop lifting screws, stopping the flow of fasteners to the escapement. This prevents back pressure.

The S12.0 Series of step feeding screw presenters comes complete with hardened tool steel and stainless steel escapement. Optic controls monitor the screws in the track, effectively preventing excessive wear and over-pressurization of escapement and tooling areas as seen on other manufacturer’s systems.
Featuring an electrically motorized screw elevator assembly which lifts fasteners from the tray into the inline track, step feeders style screw presenter systems are a more silent option for presenting screws. The low vibration also helps to reduce the uneven coating distribution of fasteners coated with loctite or other substrates that is sometimes seen in traditional screw feeding and screw presenting devices.
The unique Carlson Fastener Hopper design sits snugly above the tray, unlike competing manufacturer models that site adjacent to the device. This causes less footprint, leaving more valuable floor or table space available.
